Abfeuergerät Serie 1069 (Firing Device Series 1069)
Safe electrical remote triggering for ammunition test devices and magnetic firing units — two separate safety circuits, key switch and colored indicator lights.
Description
The firing device FU 1069-1 is used to safely trigger ammunition test devices and the magnetic firing units for original firearms. Operation takes place from a safe position while the weapon or test device is in the firing range.

All devices have two separate safety circuits: a key switch that is open in the idle state, and a passive electrical safety circuit. For example, access doors with door contacts can be secured via the passive safety circuit. Both safety circuits must be closed in order to trigger the shot.
Operation & connection

Two indicator lights show the current state of the system. The passive safety circuit and the electromagnetic firing line are connected to the device via banana plugs. The shot is triggered by turning the key switch and simultaneously pressing the fire button.
Mounting brackets fitted on the underside allow permanent installation. The brackets can be exchanged for rubber feet for table-top operation.
Safety circuits
All devices in the 1069 series feature two separate safety circuits, both of which must be closed before a shot can be triggered:
- Key switch — open in the idle state and intended to enable the fire button.
- Passive electrical safety circuit — freely assignable for system-side safeguards. Typical use: integration of door contacts so that no shot can be triggered as long as access doors to the firing range are open.
Only when the key switch and the passive safety circuit are closed and the fire button is pressed does ignition take place. The indicator lights signal the current system state at any time.
In addition to the standard version, special versions are available for electrically ignitable ammunition and electrical blasting detonators.
