Munitionsprüfgerät Serie 1055 (Ammunition Test Device Series 1055)
Universal ammunition test device for testing per NATO (EPVAT), CIP, SAAMI and additional standards — modular barrel-change system for all calibers, three model sizes up to 20×139.
Description
The devices of the Series 1055 are used for testing ammunition. The barrel-change system allows for fast switching of barrels for different calibers. All test barrels are available as velocity measuring barrels, gas pressure measuring barrels and precision measuring barrels.
The bores for the gas pressure sensors are easily accessible from three sides. The safe breech system prevents unintended firing. Matching shooting tables of the FR 1060 series are available for all models.

Breech & firing pin

An optionally available insulated firing pin enables the defined start of a measurement (t0 pulse). The replaceable breech head allows easy use of different firing pin shapes. The individually adjustable parameters of breech distance and firing pin protrusion, combined with the corresponding test barrels, enable the testing of any ammunition under various aspects.

From model ATD 1055-2 onwards, devices come standard with an electromagnetic trigger. The optionally available firing device FU 1069 allows triggering from a safe position.
Gas pressure measurement

Gas pressure measurements are captured, evaluated, analyzed and documented in combination with the Intelligent Measurement System IMS 8500. Both quartz pressure transducers and copper crusher cylinders can be used as sensors.
