IR-Präzisionslichtschranke LS-30i (IR Precision Light Barrier LS-30i)
High-precision IR light barrier for measuring projectile velocity and rate of fire — wide beam angle, calibers 4–150 mm, IP 64.
Description
The IR Precision Light Barrier LS 30i measures projectile velocity and rate of fire with high precision. The wide beam angle of around 45° generates an exceptionally large measurement field and makes the barrier suitable for all calibers from 4 mm to 150 mm — including shot and FSP. Thanks to the compact design with IP 64 protection rating, the LS 30i is particularly suited for wall mounting in the firing range.
The sensitivity indicator on the lens side allows convenient checking of light intensity during alignment. The connection side provides mains connection with indicator light, fuse, adjustable sensitivity, digital output with signaling and an analog output.

3D view

The 3D view shows the connection side, lens and sensitivity indicator of the compact LS 30i.
Connection side

The connection side features the mains connection with indicator light, fuse, an adjustment dial for sensitivity, the digital output with signaling and an analog output. The combination of adjustable sensitivity and parallel digital/analog output allows easy integration into existing measurement systems — for example the Intelligent Measurement System IMS 8510.
Lens and indicator

The lens side displays the active IR light field and a sensitivity indicator for checking light intensity during alignment. This allows the barrier to be set up quickly and reproducibly to the respective firing range configuration — even in changing light conditions or with reflections.
Shot field
The width of the measurement field grows with the distance from the measurement head:
| Distance from measurement head | Usable width |
|---|---|
| 500 mm | 800 mm |
| 1,000 mm | 1,300 mm |
| 1,500 mm | 1,800 mm |
| 2,000 mm | 2,300 mm |
| 3,000 mm | 3,300 mm |
| 4,000 mm | 4,300 mm |
| 5,000 mm | 5,300 mm |
| 5,500 mm | 5,800 mm |
